Why Train to Teach Primary with Northern Star Initial Teacher Training?

  • Outstanding schools with experienced staff
  • Dedicated colleagues committed to initial teacher training
  • Diversity of school settings

Northern Star Initial Teacher Training primary schools have designed and developed the programme following years of involvement in initial teacher training. As the eventual employers of Early Career Teachers, schools are best placed to train future colleagues ensuring that they are fully prepared for the role of classroom teacher in local schools and beyond.

Staff in our schools are committed to mentoring and supporting trainees so that they are able to maximise the opportunities offered and benefit from their hands-on experience in the classroom. Schools with expertise in particular aspects of primary provision host whole cohort training days during the school placements, allowing trainees to learn and discuss their own experiences with their peers.

If you are committed to giving children the best start, we are looking forward to receiving your application.
